What we do
Our Mission
ELAM Inc. provides Youth Services for young people between 12-21 years of age.
Our program aims to engage with young people, their families, and key stakeholders, in a group or individual settings, within the local community to provide a variety of support including the following:

Youth Group
Youth Group is for all High School students and meets every Thursday during the school term from 2:45pm to 4:00pm.

At meetings there are discusisons and plans of ELAM's upcoming Youth Events. Youth Group also assist in the setting up and running of Youth Events.
​
On alternate weeks, Youth Group connects with community services around Moranbah, including the Moranbah Boxing & Sporting Club, 5-Mile Equestrian Centre, volunteering, etc.

Pre-booking into this group isn’t necessary but permission forms do need to be signed by parents/guardians to attend excursions.




Gym Support
Our youth worker Rene, provides tailored one-on-one gym support sessions that support young people to strengthen their mental health, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

These personalised sessions offer a safe and encouraging environment where youth can build self-belief, develop healthy routines, and feel supported both physically and mentally. Rene’s supportive and youth-centred approach empowers young people to grow stronger and develop confidence.
Girls Group
Girls group is for girls aged 12 to 16. This group teaches girls life skills, from cooking to hygiene and safety. This group is held on Monday afternoons.







Art group
Art Group is for youth aged 12-16 years. Art Group is a 8 week program that meets on Tuesday afternoons, 2:45pm to 4:15pm, during the school term. Art Group is free and each week is a different Activity. Pre-booking (term Booking) into this group is necessary
Outdoor Pathways
Outdoor Pathways on Wednesdays is a collaborative program delivered by ELAM in partnership with the Isaac Regional Council, designed for boys aged 12 to 21. The program focuses on developing life skills while providing a basic understanding of the trades available within the region, supporting young people to build confidence.
