Meet Rene Buckley – Passionate About Young People, Community and Creating Pathways

Hi, I'm Rene Buckley, a Moranbah local and passionate Youth Worker with more than 25 years of experience in the community services sector.

Over the years, I've worked across residential youth work, school-based youth work, local council programs, youth detox services, and employment and training pathways. I believe every young person deserves to be heard, respected, and supported to reach their full potential.

At ELAM, I provide one-on-one mentoring, case management, advocacy, referrals, group programs, school holiday activities, employment support, and practical life skills. I'm passionate about creating opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop resilience, and achieve their goals.

I believe early intervention, strong relationships, and a safe, supportive environment can make a lasting difference. I'm committed to providing compassionate, person-centred support while continuing to grow my knowledge and skills.
